Coast House - Florence, Oregon
Coast House, nestled in a hillside grove of conifers, overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Glide in your imagination with an eagle or seagull over a thermal draft, experience the pale pinks and red-oranges of an Oregon sunset. The spacious decks invite sunning, whale watching, neglected correspondence, romance. Access to the secluded beach and sand dunes is nearby.
The Coast House is a handsome structure, built on four levels with expansive decks. The 1000 square foot interior is light and airy with high ceilings. Tall, graceful windows reveal varied views of the ocean. The house includes two sleeping lofts with skylights, a tiled kitchen and living room decorated with works of art. The toilet is an evironmentally designed vented composting unit. A separate bath room featuers a large old-fashioned tub, which overlooks the ocean below. A sheltered shower is on the deck. There is both baseboard heat and an antique wood-burning stove.
The loft beds, one queen size, one double, both have Tempur-Pedic mattresses. The kitchen is fully equipped, including condiments, local roasted coffee, and a variety of teas. Terry guest robes, CDs, DVD player, and a complimentary bottle of wine and fresh flowers are among the comforts furnished. There is no television or WiFi.
The Coast House is ideal for two people. The house is not appropriate for children or pets.
