About The RoleWe are looking for a Director, Interactive Initiatives to lead Crunchyroll's efforts to bridge the physical and virtual worlds through metaverse initiatives (e.g. Roblox, Fortnite, Meta, etc). Reporting to our VP of Strategic Initiatives you will be responsible for end-to-end concepting and execution of our interactive metaverse projects, collaborating with partners within our company and the best external partners, including ecosystem / platform developers and Japanese Anime IP licensors.

• You will manage and lead a comprehensive process to define strategy and scope cross-functional execution plans for interactive metaverse-related strategic initiatives
• You will create the best interactive metaverse experiences, including worldbuilding and gaming, to promote Crunchyroll and our Anime IP partners
• You will build relationships with external partners, including ecosystem / platform developers and digital creators, managing these relationships to achieve our goals
• You will become the subject matter expert for all things interactive / metaverse within Crunchyroll, remaining an expert in industry trends and best practices
• You will validate strategy and execution plans with senior leadership, implementing feedback cross-functionally

• 10+ years of experience in the broader interactive ecosystem and metaverse platform industry, with deep experience in the gaming industry.
• You have a background working with game developers and digital creators, leading game and digital experience launches end-to-end.
• You have experience negotiating contracts with external game development and marketing agency partners.
• You excel in strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• You have experience engaging with and collaborating with C-level leadership.
• You build strong, trust-based relationships and communicate effectively across the organization.
• You are experienced in tailoring your communication and presentations to diverse internal and external audiences.
• You are adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines, even under tight timelines.
• You have a passion for Anime and gaming.

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, employer matched retirement savings, time-off programs, and progressive health benefits and perks.
